This year, the 23rd annual D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony was hosted by Jessica Chobot and Greg Miller, and we were privileged to be nominated with Control in eight award categories, alongside titles such as Death Stranding, The Outer Worlds, Disco Elysium, Untitled Goose Game, Concrete Genie, Telling Lies, and more.
At the end of the evening, we went home with four wins:
Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction
Action Game of the Year
Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition
Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction
Thank you to all the peer panelists who voted for Control! Thank you to our publishers 505 Games and the entire development team at Remedy, for your dedication and your hard work. Thank you to our Game Director, Mikael Kasurinen, and to our Art Director, Janne Pulkkinen, for their vision and team leadership. Our thanks also goes to our dynamic composer duo on Control, Petri Alanko and Martin Stig Andersen, for experimenting with sounds and willing to get weird with it. You all worked hard to make this game, and you deserve it. Thank you!
Congratulations to all our fellow nominees and winners, especially House House for winning the Game of the Year award for Untitled Goose Game, going home with three awards in total. HONK! is all we can say to that, really.
Thank you to IGN for this reaction video – spot how many times Thomas and Juha appear!
There’s more to come for Control – we will be at GDC with seven talks, and then The Foundation expansion comes out on March 26th! We can’t wait to share more about that with you in the future!
